Lexi Schalski is the #PositiveBreastfeeding Fan of the Week. This week, Lexi once again cleared some freezer space and donated to another mother and her little one. During the course of her milksharing journey, Lexi has donated over 2,700 fluid ounces (79.85 liters) to mothers in need. Milksharing is practiced by many families who either donate or seek donor milk.

CAMPAIGN FOR BREASTFEEDING ART IN HOSPITAL

Metro Hospital of Grand Rapids, Michigan, approached Miriel Lynn Smith about the purchase of her painting, “Nursing in Nature.” It is the hospital's hope to feature the painting on a main hallway wall in their Childbirth Center, directly across from the door of their Mother's Lactation room. The hospital had intended to purchase the painting with a grant but were later informed that the grant was not approved. Miriel Lynn Smith still wishes for the hospital to have the painting and has set up a GoFundMe page to make it happen.
