A newborn baby has only three demands. They are warmth in the arms of its mother, food from her breasts, and security in the knowledge of her presence. Breastfeeding satisfies all three.

Dear supporters,

One year has passed since the Nurse-In at the TODAY Show.

While we have yet to hear commentary from the network specifically on this matter, we have seen the following happen over the past year:

1. The TODAY Show has continued its WHO Code-violating partnership with Similac under the false guise of stopping "mom-judging": http://archive.is/PwhcB

2. The TODAY Show has aired breastfeeding stories with a primarily positive message, including:

What can we conclude from the past year?

While the TODAY Show is feeling an intense pressure from Similac to portray breastfeeding in a less-than-favorable light, they are hearing our voices.

They are noticing our clicks, likes, and shares on positive stories.

We are slowly making a difference by demanding NBC and the TODAY Show cover breastfeeding as the positive topic it is - in accordance with the recommendations of every major health organization and laws around the world.

This is, in part, thanks to pages and media outlets generating original, positive breastfeeding content.

If you have not yet begun to follow the Positive Breastfeeding initiative, a collaborative spin-off of the Nurse-In at the Today Show, we ask that you do so to help show the demand for these positive stories.

Through our continued collaboration, we are creating a better world for ourselves and our children.

We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your continued involvement!
