ADVOCATES OF THE DAY

In honor of #WBW2016's theme of "Breastfeeding: A Key to Sustainable Development", the Advocates of the Day are those individuals who are doing life-saving work in their communities but cannot yet contribute their stories via an online forum.

Did you know that approximately 3.7 billion people do not yet have access to the Internet? That is more than twice the amount of people who use Facebook monthly (1.55 billion users).

Digital inequalities are an important element in assessing inequality overall. According to Robinson et al, "Those who function better in the digital realm and participate more fully in digitally mediated social life enjoy advantages over their digitally disadvantaged counterparts– a key linkage which social science is only beginning to grasp."

Nurture Tomorrow is helping to fill the gaps with those who do not yet have Internet. They support those who reach people who need critical, breastfeeding-friendly support.
